The part you do not see
A tiled wall is only as good as what is behind it. In showers we strip back to the stud or brick, fit cement board and tank the area before a single tile goes up. On floors we check for movement and level the subfloor first.
Setting out
Before tiling starts we plan where the cuts fall. A good set out keeps thin slivers away from corners and lines the grout up with the window, the bath edge and the niche. You see the plan drawn on the wall in pencil and can change it before the first tile is fixed.
Materials
We fit ceramic, porcelain, natural stone and encaustic tiles. If you are choosing tiles yourself, send us the product link before you order and we will tell you how much to buy, including cuts and spares.
Grout and silicone
We use flexible, stain resistant grout in wet areas and silicone where tiles meet the bath, the shower tray or another surface. Kemal, our tiling lead, shows you how to clean both so they stay white.
What affects the price
Large format porcelain and natural stone take longer to cut and lay than standard ceramics, and mosaics take longer again. Removing old tiles and repairing the wall behind them is a separate line in the quote, because nobody knows the state of a wall until the tiles are off.

Do you supply the tiles?
Either way works. We can supply through our tile merchant at trade price, or fit tiles you buy. We will tell you how many to order, including spares.
How long before I can use a new shower?
Grout and silicone need 24 to 48 hours to cure, depending on the product. We tell you the exact time on the day we finish.
